Living a meaningful life is one thing. Making an impact that transcends your life is entirely different.

Your story is as unique as you are. In the end, your story is your legacy. People will remember your story for the rest of their lives.

Deep down, many seasoned citizens want to capture the highlights of their life story, but they may not know how to do it or where to begin.

Perhaps, your family has been begging you to preserve key information about your life. But, it sounds like too much work, or you think your life story is too boring to be of any interest to others.

Forward From 50 can help!

Introducing the Legacy Story service

Other storytelling services may send you questions to answer and return, then assemble your unedited answers at the end of a year. Or, they may teach you how to write your own life story.

We’re different. We aren’t just storytellers, we are story seekers.

The key to a great story is knowing what questions to ask in order to draw out the fun, important details.

Greg Gerber, the founder of Forward From 50, is an experienced journalist and editor with four decades of experience interviewing people and telling their stories.

Let him capture and preserve your life story today!

Step 1: The interview

Relying on decades of experience, Greg will provide a list of starter questions developed specifically for your story for you to ponder.

Then, during a series of interviews conducted by phone or on Zoom, Greg will listen intently and ask questions to draw out details to enhance your story.

The interview is recorded in order to capture your story in your voice.

Step 2: The transcript

To speed the process and keep costs low, Greg uses artificial intelligence to transcribe the interview and develop an outline of your story.

Since the interview is recorded, artificial intelligence is also used to eliminate filler words, like “ahh, “umm,” and “you know.”

AI also modifies the recording to eliminate background noices and create a rich, studio-quality sound.

Step 3: Writing your story

Next, Greg begins the painstaking process of writing and editing your story to capture the essence of:

  • Your dreams and joys.
  • Your successes and accomplishments.
  • Your regrets and lessons learned.

Because it is your story, you get to review it and make changes.

The final version will be a compelling account of your life as you want to be remembered.

Step 4: The package

There are lots of options regarding how you want to present your story.

  • Professionally-written manuscript you can duplicate locally.
  • Softcover or hardcover book.
  • Edited audio or video file of you telling your story in your own words.
  • Photographs of key people and events in your life.

Packages range from $995 to $4,995

We only write a few stories a year. Reserve your opportunity today!
